Sizing your server
A custom application does not need a whole machine by default. Start with dependencies and measured use.
| Requirement | What to describe | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Runtime & services | Operating system, language versions, database, workers, queues and containers. | Checks compatibility and the operating scope. |
| CPU & memory | Typical and peak use, concurrency, batch jobs and memory-heavy processes. | Sizes the environment around the load, not just visitor count. |
| Storage | Live data, logs, uploads and growth rate. | Identifies usable capacity and the separate backup requirement. |
| Network & location | Audience location, monthly transfer, latency needs and external dependencies. | Checks the listed allocation and location choices. |
Access & operating responsibility
You receive root access with VPS hosting. Decide who will use it, which services you maintain and which changes you want help with.
Before service, agree the operating-system and application maintenance scope, backup policy, restore process and incident support. TitanDash and Dart access are included; separately approved task work has its own published charge.
VPS plans list root access. Agree the access arrangement and responsibility for customer-made changes as part of the service scope.
Describe the runtime, OS, database and background-service requirements in your request. Root access offers configuration flexibility; support for your exact stack still needs confirmation.
No. The disk specification describes server storage. Confirm backup schedule, retention, off-server storage and restoration terms separately.
Compare dedicated machines when you require physical hardware isolation, a particular CPU or storage configuration, or resources beyond the current VPS plan. Use measured requirements to compare cost and suitability.
Your next step
Include the runtime, current resource use and any services that need their own configuration.
